Swiss Ammann wins first Olympic gold at Vancouver Games

WHISTLER, Canada, Feb. 13 -- Swiss Simon Ammann clocked a combined points of 276.5 to win the men's normal hill individual, the first gold medal at the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games on Saturday.

Adam Malysz of Poland got the silver in 269.5 while Gregor Schlierenzauer of Austria finished third in 268.
