Venus Williams retains Mexico Open title

Venus Williams holds the the Billie Jean King Cup after beating Kim Clijsters 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 in the final of the tennis exhibition Monday, March 1, 2010, at Madison Square Garden in New York.

WASHINGTON, Feb. 27 -- Venus Williams fought back from a set down to retain her Mexican Open title with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory in Acapulco on Saturday over Polona Hercog of Slovenia.

It was Williams' second consecutive WTA title after her successful defence of Dubai champion. She has won a total of 43 WTA titles in her career.
