Little-known Hou Kai upset 3 Olympic champions to win men's 50m rifle prone

JINAN, Oct. 21 -- Little known Hou Zhan upset three Olympic champions to win the men's 50 meters rifle prone at the 11th Chinese National Games here on Wednesday.

Qiu Jian, gold winner at the Beijing Olympic Games, scored only 1160 points, failing to qualify for the finals.

Zhu Qinan and Jia Zhanbo, both champions at the Athens Olympics, finished third and fifth respectively.

Hou captured the title with 1269.9 points.
