Beckham intends to quit LA Galaxy
LONDON, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- David Beckham expressed his will to quit Los Angeles Galaxy and to seek a permanent move to AC Milan for the first time in Glasgow on Wednesday. The 33-year-old soccer icon, who has scored two goals in his first five starts in Serie A on loan with AC Milan, valued his stay in Milan a chance to impress himself for one more World Cup with England in South Africa next year.
"I have expressed my desire now to stay in Milan and hopefully the clubs can come to some agreement," said the former England captain after a friendly between Rangers and Milan at Ibrox.
"My main objective is to stay at this club and I enjoy playing here and at the highest level and it would give me more of a chance," he added.
Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has said he wants Beckham to stay, while the club have not yet made an offer for the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player.
Beckham's lawyers were discussing with Galaxy the possibility of extending his loan spell, due to end on March 9.
