Chinese strongwoman Mu eyes golds in National Games and London Olympics
CHANGCHUN, Northeast China, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Mu Shuangshuang, one of Chinese ace weightlifters in the women's over-75kg class who missed the Beijing Olympics, kept training even in Chinese traditional Spring Festival and vowed to shine in both the National Games this year and the 2012 London Olympics."The Spring Festival which is known as the most important feast for the Chinese is not that special to me as I always spend the holidays on training as usual," Mu, 25, told Xinhua here on Saturday.
Mu, whose nick name is Jumbo, won the gold medal at the 15th Asian Games in Doha in 2006 but missed the chance to compete for China in the Beijing Olympics.
"I could not decide by myself to attend the Olympics. It was really a pity but could not prevent me from furthering my strength for the National Games and the next Olympics," Mu noted.
So far, Mu has all-day training on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, half-day practice on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
