Washington moves from Fluminense to Sao Paulo
RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- One of the leading scorers in the 2008 Brazilian soccer championship, Washington, was traded from his former team of Fluminense to the reigning league champion Sao Paulo on Friday.The player has a history of cardiovascular problems, which left him sidelined last season. But he scored 21 goals in the Brazilian soccer championship this season after comeback, proving he's still on top level.
With his new team, Washington said that his main goal will be helping the team win the Libertadores Cup.
