Suicide attack kills 6 in Pakistan's tribal region

ISLAMABAD, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- At least six people were killed and five others were injured in a suicide attack near a check post in Pakistan's tribal region on Sunday, local television reported.

The blast occurred near a check post in Jandola, a town of South Waziristan tribal agency on the Afghan border, according to Dawn News TV.

There is no further information about the incident, and no group claimed responsibility for the attack.

South Waziristan tribal agency is a stronghold of Pakistani Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud.
