Drogba scores twice to help Chelsea sink Arsenal

LONDON, Feb. 8 -- Didier Drogba's double helps Chelsea go back to the top of the Englaish Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Arsenal on Sunday.

The Cote d'Ivoire forward scored the goals inside 23 minutes, and Chelsea then successfully contained Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

The third-place Gunners, who are now nine points behind the leaders, lacked cutting edge despite their art of ball possession.

Manchester United is now two points behind Chelsea after briefly returning to the top Saturday by routing Portsmouth 5-0.
