Lady GaGa: Making Beautiful Music With Michael Bolton

Now here's a real head-scratcher.

The British edition of Marie Claire reports that "Poker Face" songbird Lady GaGa is collaborating with legendary crooner Michael Bolton for his upcoming album, One World One Love—and it was GaGa's idea to work together!

"I was taking a break from production when my manager and the label tag-teamed me on the phone about writing with a young artist named Lady GaGa who I had never heard of —but they were raving about—they said that she was a huge fan of mine and wanted to write with me," Bolton says.

The admiration quickly became mutual when Bolton met up with the Pantsless One in the studio.

"When I met her in the studio later that night, I realized she was not only about to have a big hit record but GaGa was a superstar about to launch—her energy was so high and her focus excited me," Bolton recalls. "She reminded me of a young Madonna—with more exuberance and emphasis on the art rather than the marketing."

Bolton also penned material with Ne-Yo for the album.

Can someone please tell us what is going on here?

One World One Love will be released in the UK on September 21. In the meantime, share your thoughts in the comments section: Is a Michael Bolton/Lady GaGa collaboration a recipe for disaster, or musical bliss?

Megan Fox Says She Prefers Kissing Girls

Megan Fox had no problem with Amanda Seyfried in their new movie 'Jennifer's Body.'

"I feel much safer with girls, so I felt more comfortable kissing her in the movie than kissing any of the other people that I had to kiss," she tells MTV News.

But Seyfried did not feel the same way, according to her co-star.

"I think she was extremely uncomfortable. I don't think that -- I know that. She was not comfortable and there was a lot of laughing -- like, giggling fits that happened in between takes," Fox explains.

In 'Body,' Fox plays a high school student who eats her male classmates. The horror movie was written by Oscar-winning Juno scribe Diablo Cody.

DJ AM found dead in New York apartment

Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein arrives for the 2009 MusiCares Person of the Year gala in honor of Neil Diamond in Los Angeles, February 6, 2009.

NEW YORK- DJ AM, the stage name of disc jockey Adam Goldstein whose music could be heard on albums by Madonna and Will Smith, was found dead in his New York apartment on Friday, police said. He was 36.

Police said no foul play was suspected in the death of Goldstein, who socialized with Hollywood celebrities and in 2008 survived a plane crash with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker.

Media reports said Goldstein was found with prescription pill bottles near his body after he had not been heard from for days.

As a DJ, his work appeared on albums by Madonna, Will Smith, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Papa Roach. He performed at clubs in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and elsewhere.

With the band Crazy Town, Goldstein had the 2001 hit song "Butterfly" but the group broke up two years later.

He partnered with Barker of punk band Blink 182 last year to create a live DJ and drum performance and the duo played occasionally at clubs and other concert venues.

In September 2008, Goldstein and Barker were in a private plane that crashed while taking off from an airport in South Carolina. The two pilots and two passengers were killed.

Goldstein and Barker suffered serious burns and were hospitalized in critical condition.

Goldstein posted his last known public remarks on the social networking website Twitter on Tuesday when he wrote: "New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york aint always what it seems."

The words were lyrics from a song by Grandmaster Flash, a pioneer of hip-hop music.

Goldstein dated reality TV star Nicole Richie, to whom he was at one point engaged, and later went out with singer and actress Mandy Moore.

ZURICH, Aug. 28 -- Russian legend Yelena Isinbayeva set a new world record of women's pole vault at 5.06 meters in the Golden League meet here on Friday.

Breaking the outdoor record for the 15th time, Isinbayeva bounced back from losing her world title in Berlin athletics worlds.

The previous mark of 5.05 meters was made by Isinbayeva in Beijing last year when she won her second Olympic gold medal. She has broken the world outdoor and indoor records 27 times.

Yelena Isinbayeva of Russia poses next to the scoreboard after breaking her own women's pole vault world record during the IAAF Golden League athletics meeting at the Letzigrund stadium in Zurich August 28, 2009.

"I was fresh, I was aiming for the record," Isinbayeva said at Letzigrund Stadium.

Isinbayeva passed the first five heights, then cleared 4.71 in her first attempt and did the same at 4.81, which assured her of victory over Anna Rogowska of Poland, who won gold in Berlin but had to settle for second at 4.76.

"I was surprised it was so easy," Isinbayeva said. "I feel great. It's really unbelievable just after such a great defeat in Berlin but I'm happy that I was defeated otherwise I wouldn't be so hungry for the world record."

Rooney turns table to gift Man. Utd. win over Arsenal

Manchester United's Ryan Giggs (R) celebrates with teammates Nemanja Vidic (2nd R), Park Ji-Sung (2nd L) and Wayne Rooney after Arsenal's Abou Diaby scored an own goal during their English Premier League soccer match in Manchester, northern England, August 29, 2009.

LONDON, Aug. 29 -- Wayne Rooney turned the table with a penalty shot to enable Manchester United to overplay arch rival Arsenal 2-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Man. United dominated the middle field at the beginning as Gunners' captain Cesc Fabregas absent due to injury. Darren Fletcher almost gave the hosts an early lead after nine minutes as he answered Rooney's cross with his chest at leisure but fired over bar in near range.

However, it was Arsenal that made the breakthrough when Andrey Arshavin fired a long shot amazingly from the left in the 40th minute with goalkeeper Ben Foster tipping it into the left top corner of the net.

Arsenal's Robin van Persie (L) holds off Manchester United's Nemanja Vidic during their English Premier League soccer match in Manchester, northern England, August 29, 2009.

Arsenal played much more aggressive in the second half and Robin van Persie forced Foster to block the shot with his leg.

In the vital moment, English striker Rooney pushed himself forward. When he sprinted into the box, Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia fell him and conceded Man United a penalty. Rooney equalized from the penalty spot after 59 minutes.

Suddenly, a stricken Arsenal seemed losing their pace while Man. United were encouraged a lot. Five minutes after the equalizer, Vassiriki Diaby stunned the visitors by heading Ryan Giggs's freekick into their own net and Gunners never came back with van Persie's last minute goal ruled offside.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea sealed their fourth consecutive win in the Premier League by beating Burnley 3-0, but Tottenham Spurs made the same achievement after overcoming Birmingham 2-1.

Nicolas Anelka slide Didier Drogba's cross in net seconds before the break. Then German Michael Ballack added a score for the Blues with a header two minutes after the restart. Five minutes later, Ashley Cole volleyed in a stunning third.

Liverpool was threatened to lose for the third time this season as they fell behind twice in front of the hosts Bolton. But a strong-minded Steven Gerrard fired home in the 83rd minute to seal three points for the Reds after Glen Johnson and Fernando Torres completed the equalizers.

Besides, Blackburn finished 0-0 against West Ham while Wolverhampton tied with Hull on 1-1. Stoke edged Sunderland 1-0.

Australia rallies to edge China at Stankovic Cup

KUNSHAN, Southern China, Aug. 29 -- Australia came from 10 points back to edge China 76-74 on Saturday, the second day of the 5th FIBA Stankovic Basketball Continental Cup for Men.

Australia was the only team to keep two wins while China posted one win and one loss. Australia trounced Turkey and the host defeated Angola on Friday.

China led 74-73 with 10 seconds left but a turnover by Hu Xuefeng's bad pass to Sun Yue gave the Australians a chance to win when Oscar Forman made a lay-up and drew a foul and made the free-throw for victory.

Australia's Peter Crawford (2nd L) drives the ball during the second day match against China at the men's 2009 Stankovic Basketball Continental Cup in Kunshan city, east China's Jiangsu Province, on Aug. 29, 2009. Australia won 76-74.

Australian Aj Ogilvy scored a game-high 18 points, James Harvey netted 17 and Ater Majok 11.

Li Xiaoxu led China with 17 points and 8 rebounds, Wang Zhizhi got 16 but made six turnovers.

The first period was marked by six lead changes and four ties with a 23-all entering the second period.

The host broke open a close game immediately in the second quarter when they came out with a 17-9 run to lead 38-31.

The Australians, who trailed 39-43 at half-time and seven points again, 44-51, early in the second half, trimmed the gap gradually and finished the third quarter with a 57-57 tie.

China regained the lead with consecutive points from Zhang Qingpeng and Li Xiaoxu and turned the advantage into 10 points, 70-60 -- the first double-figure margin of the game, on Zhang's 3-pointer with five minutes remaining.

But the opponent team fought back with a 9-0 spurt to cut the gap 69-70. Zhang and Wang Zhizhi made the fast break and lay-up for China's last 4 points before the Australians recovered.

"It was sad for us to lose the game, "Chinese head coach Guo Shiqiang said, "We didn't play well in the last two minutes, especially in the last seconds when we made a mistake."

China forced Australia 22 turnovers while committing 16 themselves, but a turnover in the last seconds nailed their loss.

China, however, still have chance to meet Australia in the Monday's final if they win over Turkey on Sunday in their last round-robin game.

Early on Saturday, Turkey rolled to a lopsided 60-37 triumph over Angola, condemning the defending champion to two straight defeats.

Turkey took control early, leading by 10 in the first period and by as many as 25 before taking a 55-25 advantage into the fourth quarter.

Cankaya Yunus scored 13 points for Turkey, Sonkol Umit got 12 and Buker Everen nailed 11. Angloa, who lost to China 62-88 Friday, was led by Pualo Barros with 10 points.

The important moments in Edward Kennedy's life

Edward Kennedy (C) was the youngest of nine children in the family. Photo taken in London, 1939.

Edward Kennedy married Joan Bennett in New York on November 29, 1958. The Archbishop of New York is personally blessing them in this file photo.

After John Kennedy was elected the 35th U.S. President, Edward Kennedy started to run the campaign for the senator seat left vacant by his oldest brother. He was elected the U.S. Senator for Massachusetts in 1962.

After John Kennedy was assassinated, Edward Kennedy (R, front), together with Robert Kennedy (L, front) and Jacqueline Kennedy (C, front), attended the funeral.

The airplane Edward Kennedy took from Washington to Massachusetts crashed on June 19, 1964. The pilot and Edward Moss, one of Kennedy's aides, were killed. Kennedy was pulled from the wreckage by fellow Senator Birch E. Bayh II and spent months in hospital recovering from a severe back injury, a punctured lung, broken ribs and internal bleeding.

File photo shows Edward Kennedy at the Senate budget hearing in 1967. In 1968, his brother Robert Kennedy was shot and died during his presidential campaign.

On the night of July 18, 1969, Edward Kennedy was on Chappaquiddick Island, Massachusetts at a party. Leaving the party, Kennedy was driving home with 28-year-old Mary Jo Kopechne as his passenger, when Kennedy drove off Dike Bridge. Kennedy escaped the vehicle safely and left the scene. But he did not call authorities until Kopechne's body was discovered the following day. Kennedy pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and was given a sentence of two months in jail, suspended. In this photo, a trailer is pulling his car out from the water.

Edward Kennedy gave an endorsement to Obama on January 28, 2008. Kennedy's endorsement raised the possibility of improving Obama's vote-getting in the primaries.

On May 20, 2008, doctors announced Kennedy had a malignant glioma, a type of cancerous brain tumor.
